How Does a Wormery work?
This is environmentally friendly method of decomposing food and biodegradable waste into compost. Working in a tiered style, put the food waste at the top, and as the worms (yes! Real Tiger Worms!) munch away on the food, it breaks down into smaller parts. With a few tiers, by the time the food reaches the bottom, it is now a fine and organic material which you can use on your plants.
Wormeries are great at getting rid of your biodegradable food waste, and helping your plants grow well as the compost would be rich in nutrients, and further enhanced with the worm poo! The Original Organics 3 Tray Tiger Wormery is available to purchase at Garden Street.
