How does a water butt work?
Water butts do not require any tricky installation. They are simply attached to your home's drain pipe using a diverter, which diverts the water from the drainpipe into the water butt instead. Once full, the water simply goes back through the diverter and down the drain pipe as it would normally have. The water can then be extracted from the butt using a small tap.
This tap can be used to empty water into a watering can or hose pipe tank for extra convenience. A water butt is a fantastic addition to your garden, helping to save water and make the most of the great outdoors.
