Featured in Alison Cork's segment in The Daily Telegraph, this bin store is from Rowlinson's Heritage collection and incorporates an elegant apex styled roof. This attractive wheelie bin storage units keeps your bins safe and out of site, which is ideal in deterring pests, protecting from wind, or just to make your garden area look better. Through the innovate inclusion of chains, this eliminates the needs to take the bins out each time you put a big bag in; simply lift the store lid and the chains will open the wheelie bin lid for you. Manufactured in the UK, this storage unit comes ready painted in a contemporary grey wash finish.

The paint provides a full strength exterior protection to help protect the wood.

It's a shame, this bin store is quite flimsy and it arrived with at least one piece missing. It wasn't very well painted and had chips and splinters on many of the parts. Not very good value.

I’m unable to give an accurate review of the bin store as following three deliveries, I am still not in possession of all the parts, therefore I’m am basing my one star review in the customer service received from garden street. I was advised I would be contacted by the courier to arrange a delivery time. I wasn’t. Luckily I was home when delivery No 1. arrived but I rejected this as it was visibly damaged through the inadequate packaging. The delivery driver stated this is a frequent occurrence. I was then informed a replacement would be sent (7-10 days delivery time) I was again told I would be contacted by the courier. I was not; I was simply told it would be arriving with less than 24hrs notice. I waited in 0800-1600 for this and when I opened the packaging, guess what? Another damaged part as well as two missing parts! Third time lucky and no contact from the courier whatsoever and returned home to find a package front and centre in my doorstep. No attempt to conceal it, no attempt to leave with neighbours. You’d think after two previous delivery attempts, someone would quality control the package this time. Wrong. One of the replacement items is inexplicably the wrong size! I am still awaiting the correct part, with the usual 7-10 days delivery wait. I complained via email and asked to be compensated for the amount of time I’ve had to give in order to wait home for delivery of this item but my request clearly doesn’t even appear suitable for a reply as it’s been completely ignored. Instead, I received a one line email saying sorry.

I can comfortably say I wouldn’t recommend buying from Garden Street to my worst enemy, and judging by the other negative reviews on google, it’s a wonder they’re still trading.

It is a substantial piece of garden furniture that takes some hours to assemble, an electric screwdriver is essential. I used PVA glue on some joints for added rigidity. It pays to identify and lay all the parts out, particularly the different fixings, prior to starting.

There are some issues with the kit which arrives in two packages as received:
1) Many small wood parts were stuck to the larger panels by the grey wash, the parts must have been packed whilst the wash was wet
2) There was some minor damage to the surface of some parts and I requested the spec of the wash to touch up - didn't receive it but instead a small unmarked bottle turned up in the post.
3) Instructions call for the store to be stood on a protective (sacrifical?) plinth, but a call to Rowlinson resulted in me being told that this wasn't necessary
4) Instructions stated position for the lifting chains is stupid and I moved the mounting to the front rail of the lids
5) Roundhead screws were supplied for the countersunk holes in the handles.

Overall though the end result is pleasing and does a fine job of disguising the awful plastic bins

Rowlinson Heritage Apex Bin Store

I was told 'some self assembly required'. It took an experienced builder 2 hrs and then he didn't have time to fix the chains on. The structure is flimsy and has no stand so when on uneven ground the doors do not close smoothly. Not worth the money.

When will I receive my order?

Delivery Estimates are in working days, and the estimated delivery time for each product is shown above the ‘add to basket’ button on the product page.

Deliveries are mostly prearranged directly with yourself within a few days of placing an order; being booked in directly with a member of the delivery team/carriers. This can help to confirm a working delivery date which is best for you. When ordering, please provide an active mobile phone number to help delivery to be promptly booked in, and to ensure that there is no delay in receiving your order.

Please note, that some smaller items which can be posted or go via small carrier may be dispatched immediately, without contacting you first. If you have any doubts over your order status please contact us.

Will I receive a timeslot for my delivery?

As we use a wide range of carriers for delivery, you may not receive a time slot for your order. With most orders, you would be contacted first to arrange a delivery date, so you know in advance what day delivery has been booked in for. If you know you won’t be available for your pre-arranged day of delivery, please let us know in advance and we can pass this on to the carriers to investigate the possibility of your delivery being left with a neighbour or in a safe place.

Can I choose a specific delivery date within the estimated delivery dates?

Delivery Lead Times are Estimates; if you’re looking to receive a product by or on a certain date, please contact our customer service team before ordering for help and advice.

Is express delivery available?

There may be occasions where we can dispatch items sooner, should there be space available on a delivery run. If you are looking to receive a product sooner than the estimated delivery lead time, please contact us and we can see check delivery availability to see if this is possible.  

Some smaller products are applicable for next day delivery. This will be shown in the stock message on the product page, and at stage three of checkout.

Can I change my mind and return my order?

If you no longer require an item or if it just isn’t for you, you can return any product(s) as a change of mind within 14 days of receipt of the good(s). This is assuming that the good(s) are unused, in the original packaging, and in the original resaleable condition. Simply contact us at for the return address of any items you wish to return.

Please note that perishable goods (such as turf and bulk bags of soil), and made to measure items (Burbage Fencing/Gates/Railings etc) are excluded from return.
