Coming in a natural untreated finish, the Glenmore is made from FSC® Certified Softwood, and available in wall thickness from 28mm, to an impressive 70mm. This allows your summerhouse to be painted or stained to your taste, allowing you to complement the surroundings of your cabin.

An assembly option is available for the Glenmore Cabin, which will help this to be erected as promptly as possible to stand proud in your garden for years to come.

What are the Advantages of a Pressure Treated Floor Bearer Beams?

If untreated, the bearers of a wooden lodge or cabin can be the area most susceptible to wood rot, which reduces the overall lifespan of your product. No matter how well treated the walls of a cabin are, if the bearers are not appropriately treated, rising ground damp can cause wood rot or fungal decay which can affect the overall structure of the building.

The bearers of the Glenmore Pine Lodge been pressure treated. This is a premium wood treatment technique which helps to increase the lifespan and longevity of the base. The timber is immersed in an environmentally friendly preservative, which under high pressure and vacuum is forced deep into the wood. The helps preserve the timber for several years from insects, fungal decay and rot, and offers a longer lasting protection than the application of a surface coating of preservative. This end product is also known as tanalised timber.
